Dip molding offers an attractive alternative to other molding technologies. Cosmetic appeal, seamless parts, inexpensive tooling and rapid prototyping are just a few of the many advantages of dip molding. Materials including natural latex rubber, neoprene, nitrile (Buna-n), silicone and vinyl (pvc) are all available in dip molding compounds. With an infinite array of textures, colors, and durometer to choose from, dip molding offers versatility and economic advantages unmatched with other molding technologies.
Dip coating allows the customer to have a protective or cosmetic coating applied to a variety of substrates including metals, plastics, textiles, foams, etc. Coatings from a few to several thousandths of an inch can be applied in a variety of colors and durometer. Practically all materials and processing used for dip molding lend themselves to dip coating.
Silicone spray coating of metal substrates has become a specialty of McCammon Engineeering Corp. in both military and industrial applications. Silicone is an excellent choice for high heat applications such as engine compartments, oven components, etc.
Geared to the demanding needs of an ever changing industry, McCammon Engineering Corp. provides a custom design and manufacturing facility to help bring your product from idea to prototype to production in the shortest time possible. Whether simple or complex, large or small, McCammon Engineering Corp. has the resources to make your part work. We specialize in custom designed, non-standard parts and are ready to meet the challenges of your most demanding project.
With dip molding, prototyping is fast and inexpensive. Though tooling is necessary, complex and expensive tooling associated with other molding techniques is unnecessary. Combining 3D CAD modeling with a fully equipped in-plant machine shop, we have the resources to get prototype parts into the customers hands, usually within a few days.
With over 16 years of experience utilizing the professional CADKEY design and drafting software, McCammon Engineering Corp. offers precision designed and manufactured tooling and parts. We have the experience and ability to give customers an isometric rendering of a part before the part ever goes to production. With a phone conversation, faxed sketch and a few dimensions, we can let a customer see what their part will look like, usually within a few hours. This combination of in-plant design, tooling and manufacturing capabilities gives us a unique ability to take a project from concept to production while giving the customer direct contact with all phases of the project.
Trimming and dieing are all standard operations at our facility. As with most custom parts, there is often trimming, cutting, dieing or punching associated with the part. We routinely carry out trimming operations utilizing manual, shear, rotary mandrel, pnuematic and arbor trimming equipment.
